The family-run 2500 acre Savannah Private Game Lodge is one of the undiscovered gems of the Parys region. Set in “lowveld bush” which exists on Savannah, due to the impact of the meteorite hit in the VREDEFORT DOME.  
Flexible mealtimes, excellent food (and a chef who caters to the fussiest of little people), easy-going staff and relaxed game drives.

The SAVANNAH is located on 2500 of unspoilt African bush 90 minutes away from Sandton or OR TAMBO airport (GPS Coordinates: S2647.679 E2732.154)---the SAVANNAH is home to over 25 mammal species and over 300 bird species, Bordering on 8km of the VAAL river the opportunities to GET AWAY FROM IT ALL are endless, whatever you desire, or wherever you come from. Come enjoy!

WHAT TO DO:

At the SAVANNAH—you can go on  long lazy walks or cycle over the koppies on your mountain bike—you can fly fish or river raft in the Vaal—you can get married, and dance the night away under the African stars--or  you can meet in the Conference rooms and plan your business strategy—after a busy day you can sit next to a bon fie in the BOMA and enjoy a traditional AFRICAN BRAAI.

Or you can simply CHILL next the pool with a good book—drink cool drinks and catch some sun—or catch up on some well earned rest in one of our luxury tents, rondawels or luxury rooms in the lodge.  You can sit in the bar, or lounge and watch your favorite DSTV show.

In fact ---you can do whatever you want at SAVANNAH.

RIVER RAFTING:
You get into one of rubber ducks on the one end of Savannah and paddle down the VAAL at your leisure. You can stop off at one of the islands we have and enjoy a picnic basket or we can collect you when you reach the other end of the property (depending on river flow—three hours) There are a few small rapids which add to the experience of seeing amazing bird life, huge likkevaans and the occasional yellow fish.

FLY FISHING:
SAVANNAH offers one of the best spots on the entire VAAL river for catching beautiful YELLOW Fish.

FIVE A SIDE SOCCER:
SAVANNAH has just completed a grass covered FIVE A SIDE soccer pitch—come play.

MOUNTAIN BIKING:
Bring your bike to SAVANNAH (and your brains) and come enjoy the over 40 km of diverse terrain on your MOUNTAIN BIKE. Although at his stage there are no single- track trails they are planned. But Cycle on the tracks up hills, then down to the river  ---amongst the wild.  Just be smart—if you leave the Rhino alone they will leave you alone—and remember they can run at 40km/hr.

ACCOMMODATION - TENTED CAMP:
Luxury accommodation in our tented camp –all tents have en suite bathrooms, electricity, comfortable beds, all overlooking a beautiful water hole. Sit on the deck of your tent and enjoy a sundowner as the animals wander to the water hole for their sundowners.

RONDAWELS:
Stay in our quaint thatched Rondawels next to our  sparkling blue pool all with en suite bathrooms, comfortable beds.

LODGE:
There are four luxurious rooms in the lodge all with their own bathrooms including our HONEY MOON suite---cosy and comfortable.

SAVANNAH offers you so much more than you can imagine and is definitely not a place for calorie counters, the food is scrumptious and plentiful.

CONFERENCES:
Savannah offers a state of the art CONFERENCE  facilities in the recently completed SAVANNAH CONFERENCE centre. Savannah has a main meeting room capable of up to 50 delegates with two break away rooms, of nearly equal size.

TEAM BUILDING/BOSEBERAAD
The 2500 acre preserve offers every opportunity for exciting team building exercises. From obstacle courses to crossing to one of our islands on a wooden self made raft. Or: Simply spending time in the Boma next to a great BON FIRE contemplating strategy?

LEADERSHIP CAMPS
Savannah can accommodate as many as 150 children for exciting leadership camps.  With all the space available, the things that can be done are endless.
